UMPIRING at MARLINS NETBALL

Umpiring may look like a lonely job at times, this is not true at our club. Our umpire convenor Tracey Raututi has built a strong team of experienced umpires within Marlins who support each other on and off the court.

We recognise that umpires are a vital part of our game, because of this, our umpires are rewarded very generously and supported though their awards.

Our umpires pride themselves on consistency, performance and the ambition to continually upskill themselves. One on one support is provided within the team throughout the season to help everybody with achieving their next umpire qualification.

About the team:

We are very fortunate at Marlins to have Tracey Raututi as our umpire convenor. Tracey holds her NZ Theory certificate and is a self employed personal trainer. This gives her the skills and the drive to set goals with her team and coach umpires of all skill levels to support them in achieving their goals.

Our core Marlins umpiring team now hold the following qualifications:

• 3x NZ Theory umpires,
• 2x Centre Badge,
• 3x Junior Badge and
• 1x Junior Theory
